Revanth employs strategic tactics against BRS

The Congress party has decided to contest only two Rajya Sabha seats and leave one for the opposition BRS. The BRS has chosen Vaddiraju Ravichandra to go to Rajya Sabha again. There were speculations that Congress would admit BRS MLAs who have been meeting Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and try to win all three seats, but they have put those plans on hold. This was a tactic played by Congress to keep the BRS uncertain. Revanth had meetings with BRS leaders, MPs, MLAs, and local body representatives, leading to speculations that they would join Congress before the Rajya Sabha polls. However, Revanth clarified that they do not intend to poach anyone as the BRS had done. Only BRS Peddapalli MP Venkatesh Neta joined Congress recently.

Revanth Reddy has been focusing on corruption in irrigation projects both inside and outside the Assembly. The government will prepare reports on alleged corruption in developmental programs by the BRS government, particularly in projects undertaken by the MAUD department such as thermal power generation and Mission Bhagiratha. The government has ordered a probe into the misuse of funds in the Formula E event in Hyderabad, which was brought by former minister KT Rama Rao. Ministers have also been instructed to investigate corruption in infrastructure projects by the previous government. State BC welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar ordered a vigilance probe into the Karimnagar smart city project for alleged misuse of Rs 500 crore. Many ministers have asked Revenue authorities to report on encroachments of government lands by BRS leaders.
