Hyderabad Experiences Drizzles Due to Bay of Bengal Depression

The depression in the Bay of Bengal has brought a noticeable change in the weather across Telangana. Several areas in the state, including Hyderabad, observed light to moderate rains. On Thursday, the city experienced drizzles for the second consecutive day. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the chilly weather will persist until Friday.

In Hyderabad, many areas witnessed light showers during the evening. These weather conditions are expected to continue for another day as the depression continues to influence neighboring Andhra Pradesh.

Cloudy and chilly weather was reported in Hyderabad and the border districts of Telangana for the second day in a row. Overcast skies, light rain, and sporadic drizzles impacted the city and surrounding regions, creating a cool and damp atmosphere.

The cold winds contributed to the chilly conditions in Hyderabad, where minimum temperatures ranged between 19°C and 20°C, according to data from the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).

The IMD bulletin noted that Siddipet recorded 3.3 mm of rainfall between Wednesday evening and the early hours of Thursday. In Hyderabad, light showers ranging from 2.5 mm to 1 mm were reported in areas like Hayathnagar, Marredpally, Uppal, Moula Ali, Kapra, Shaikpet, Quthbullapur, Malkajgiri, Balanagar, and Musheerabad.
