China is using propaganda and censorship to hide poverty and economic troubles. The government wants to block any discussion about the poor. The Cyberspace Administration of China recently said it will punish anyone who posts content that creates harmful information or disrupts economic and social development.

The government deleted a viral video of an old woman who only has a monthly pension of $14.50. A singer wrote about how he went to college to help China, but now he can’t find a good job.
