Pinapaka MLA Rega Kantha Rao, who is a candidate for the BRS party in the upcoming elections, has fulfilled the dreams of the people for overall welfare and development. He has previously served as an MLA for two terms and is now aiming for a hat-trick victory.
Rao, a respected tribal leader, left his job as a physical education teacher to enter politics at the invitation of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. In 2009, he contested as a Congress candidate and won the elections.
Born in 1977 in Kornavalli village, Rao holds an MA in Political Science and MPEd. He successfully became an MLA in 2009 and 2018 from the Congress party, but was defeated in the 2014 elections.
Impressed by the welfare schemes of the BRS government, Rao joined the party and was appointed as a government whip by the KCR government. This time, he is being fielded by the BRS party in Pinapaka.
Rao has worked hard for the development of his constituency, securing funds for irrigation projects and better roads in villages. He played a key role in establishing a 100-bed hospital, RTA office at Manuguru, and a polytechnic college, among others. He has always made himself available to the people of Pinapaka and is confident about securing a hat-trick victory. His followers are hopeful that he will be included in the KCR cabinet after the BRS government is formed.
