Hyderabad: Larsen and Turbo Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) teamed up with Rapido to introduce metro ticket booking through the Rapido app on Saturday.
This partnership is a big step forward for urban transportation. It offers commuters an easy way to plan their entire journey, including bike, auto, cab, and now metro tickets. With this new feature, people can book a ride to the nearest metro station and buy metro tickets for their destination all in one app. This makes daily commuting much easier.
The integration of metro ticket bookings within the Rapido app is expected to improve the travel experience for thousands of passengers. With Rapido’s large user base and simple app interface, it is estimated that at least 15% of metro tickets will be bought through the app. This will make metro services in Hyderabad more efficient and accessible.
Pavan Guntupalli, co-founder of Rapido, said, “By adding metro ticket bookings to the Rapido app, we are giving our users more than just a ride. We are offering a full solution for their entire commute. Our goal with L&TMRHL is to connect the first and last mile of our users’ journeys seamlessly.”
NVS Reddy, MD of HMRL, added, “At Hyderabad metro rail, we are committed to providing smooth journeys for our commuters. This new collaboration with Rapido strengthens this commitment by offering an efficient last-mile connectivity solution.”
