MLA Calls for Better Food Quality in Gurukula Schools
Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy has stressed the need for serving healthy and high-quality meals to students in government Gurukula schools and hostels. During a surprise visit to the Jyotirao Phule Girls’ Gurukula School in Munugodu on Friday, he expressed disappointment with the food being served to the students. He noticed that the rice had a bad smell, the curd was too watery, and other dishes lacked flavor.
The MLA criticized the school principal and the agency responsible for food preparation, warning them against compromising on food quality for profit. He made it clear that such negligence, especially when it concerns children, would not be tolerated. Rajgopal Reddy also promised to revisit the school to ensure the food quality improves. During his visit, he served food to students to personally check if they were satisfied with the meals and if the daily menu was being followed properly.
He emphasized that providing nutritious meals is just as important as offering quality education, particularly for students from underprivileged families. Good food, he said, is essential for their overall development and well-being.

In addition to his school visit, Rajgopal Reddy also inspected ongoing road expansion projects in Munugodu. He urged officials to maintain high standards in the construction work and to monitor the quality regularly. This, he said, would help prevent any lapses or delays in the projects.
The MLA was joined by several officials during his inspection, including DCCB Chairman Kumbham Srinivas Reddy, Chandoor RDO Sridevi, Tahsildar M. Narender, MPDO Vijay Prasad, and others. Together, they reviewed the progress of the projects and discussed ways to ensure their smooth and timely completion.
