Hyderabad: The Congress party, unlike the BJP government led by Prime Minister Modi, believes in consulting everyone before starting any major initiatives. As part of this process, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge will meet with party leaders on November 5. They plan to gather opinions on the caste census and provide guidance to the state unit and government, said TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud.
In addition to this meeting, the Congress party has decided to hold an all-party meeting on November 6 or 7. This meeting will not only include leaders from different political parties but also intellectuals, representatives from various castes, students, and members of civil society. Their suggestions will also be taken into account, Goud added.
Mahesh Kumar Goud emphasized that Rahul Gandhi has always been a strong supporter of social justice. According to Goud, Rahul Gandhi does not want people to simply agree with him. Instead, he seeks open and honest discussions, even welcoming criticism on the topic of the caste census. Goud pointed out that unlike Modi, Rahul Gandhi is open to feedback from everyone. After hearing from all stakeholders, Rahul Gandhi will offer guidelines for the state Congress unit on how to move forward with the caste census.
