Rachakonda Police Crack Down on Drugs and Crime in 2024
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police have made significant strides in their fight against drugs and crime this year. Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu, during a recent press conference, shared details of their achievements in 2024.
This year, the police registered 253 drug-related cases and arrested 521 individuals involved in drug trafficking and abuse. The crackdown has led to the seizure of narcotic substances worth ₹88 crore, showcasing the department’s strong commitment to curbing illegal drug activities in the region.
The Commissioner also highlighted strict actions taken against repeat offenders. As part of their efforts to ensure justice, 30 habitual offenders have been sentenced to life imprisonment this year.
In addition to tackling drug-related crimes, the Rachakonda Police have worked on resolving pending cases. Through Lok Adalat initiatives, they successfully cleared over 11,000 cases, providing relief to many citizens and reducing the backlog in the judicial system.
Commissioner Sudheer Babu emphasized the police department’s dedication to public safety. He urged the community to stay vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to combat crime effectively.
