Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, Commissioner of Police for Rachakonda, organized a special lunch, known as “Bada Khana,” for the hardworking staff of Rachakonda Traffic Zone-II. This event was held to recognize their dedication and to celebrate the peaceful conclusion of the recent Ganesh Festival 2024.
As part of a welfare initiative, the Commissioner of Police provided traffic kits to 730 traffic personnel in Rachakonda. Each kit, containing 10 items, is valued at Rs. 7,800. The total cost for these kits amounted to Rs. 41,83,664.
Contents of the Traffic Kit:
1. Bag: A sturdy, water-resistant bag for carrying essentials.
2. LED Baton: A high-visibility baton for improved safety.
3. Reflective Jacket: A jacket with reflective materials for visibility during nighttime duties.
4. Raincoat: A waterproof coat to protect during monsoons.
5. Water Bottle: A refillable bottle to stay hydrated.
6. Jungle Shoes: Water-resistant shoes ideal for outdoor work.
7. Goggles: Protective eyewear to guard against road dust.
8. Hat: A breathable and protective hat for outdoor duty.
9. White Safety Helmet: A helmet for head protection during outdoor duties.
10. Three-layered Surgical Nose Mask: High-quality masks to protect against airborne pathogens.
The event was attended by several key officials, including Sri Ch. Praveen Kumar, DCP LB Nagar Zone, Sri V. Sreenivasulu, DCP Traffic Zone-II, and other officers from LB Nagar and Malkajgiri Traffic Divisions.
In conclusion, the police department emphasized the importance of self-discipline in ensuring road safety. They urged citizens to cooperate with the traffic police to improve traffic management and make roads safer for everyone.
