Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, is visiting Hyderabad and will meet with filmmaker S S Rajamouli on Thursday. He will also speak at a public rally in Khammam, 200 kilometers from Hyderabad. The visit is part of the BJP’s month-long ‘Maha Jansampark Abhiyan’ campaign. Shah will also visit Bhadrachalam to offer prayers at Sri Rama temple before attending the public meeting in Khammam. He will then go to Vijayawada by road and board a special flight to Ahmedabad at night. The BJP hopes the meeting will help it emerge as an alternative to the ruling BRS in Telangana’s upcoming Assembly elections.
