During the festival, it was reported that firecrackers were made using pages from the Quran. This resulted in verses from the holy Quran being scattered among the crackers when they burst. The Musheerabad police have booked a case against the cracker manufacturer for insulting the religious sentiments of a community.
Eyewitnesses were surprised to find Quranic verses among the firecrackers. They were astounded when they picked up the crackers and discovered Arabic letters on them, which turned out to be verses from the Quran.
The Muslim youth collected the firecrackers with Quranic verses and filed a complaint at the Musheerabad police station. The Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson, Mohammed Amjedullah Khan, accompanied them and the police promised action.
Amjedullah filed a complaint alleging that a local vendor near the Ek Minar Masjid in Musheerabad was selling crackers with Quranic verses. He demanded strict action against the cracker manufacturer in Tamil Nadu and the local seller for insulting the religious sentiments of the community.
The incident has caused outrage among the Muslim community, leading to a protest in front of the Musheerabad police station. The police have assured a thorough investigation and stated that those responsible for desecrating the Quranic verses will face legal consequences. Cracker samples have been collected from a nearby shop for further investigation.
