Nagarkurnool:
Students from Nagarkurnool Medical College staged a protest on Thursday in response to the tragic death of a medical student in Kolkata. They expressed their dissatisfaction by boycotting classes and organizing a roadblock (rasta roko) to demand justice for the victim.
The protest began with demonstrations at the District General Hospital, where the students held placards and shouted slogans seeking justice. They then marched to Ambedkar Chowrasta, where they blocked the road in a large-scale rasta roko.
During the protest, the students performed a skit that reenacted the horrific incident to raise awareness among the public. The emotional performance deeply affected the onlookers, bringing many to tears.
Following the skit, the students demanded that the government take immediate action by punishing those responsible and ensuring justice for the victim. They also called for better protection for medical professionals. The protest ended with a rally that was joined by a large number of medical and nursing students.
