Protecting People from Dengue is Urged by Revenue Divisional Officer Padmavathi in Wanaparthy

In Wanaparthy, Revenue Divisional Officer Padmavathy spoke about the importance of keeping areas clean to prevent deadly diseases like dengue. She flagged off a rally for National Dengue Prevention Day with municipal vice-chairman Vakiti Sridhar. Padmavathy emphasized the need to remove water from people’s homes and surroundings regularly to prevent water stagnation, which can cause dengue.

Padmavathy reported that there were 42 cases of dengue in 2022 and six cases so far in 2023. She mentioned that spraying with “Pyretram” has been done in water-logged areas and mosquito nets have been distributed in high-risk areas. She advised people to be aware of the symptoms of dengue, such as high fever, red rashes on the body, bleeding through the skin, severe headache, muscle and joint pains, and loss of appetite. If these symptoms are noticed, patients should be taken to the government hospital immediately.
