There was an argument in the Assembly about who should get credit for the international airport, ORR, and Metro Rail project. K T Rama Rao interrupted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and said that Hyderabad developed quickly during the BRS rule, and gave examples of the airport, ORR, and metro rail. Revanth disagreed and said that these projects were started in undivided Andhra Pradesh and inaugurated by Congress governments.
Revanth also mentioned that KTR boasted about setting up the Narcotic Bureau but did not provide enough staff and facilities to handle the drug menace. The present government, on the other hand, appointed a full-time officer and promised to release funds for necessary facilities. Revanth talked about the six guarantees and said they will be made legal after discussion in the House.
The Chief Minister criticized the BRS for being upset about the Governor’s reference to people experiencing real freedom now. He said the Congress rule would be different and they will not forget the students who made Telangana possible. He also mentioned that farmers under the previous government did not receive money under Rythu Beema and accused the former CM of hypocrisy regarding paddy cultivation.
The Chief Minister disputed KTR’s claim about Telangana being number one in per capita power consumption and cited data showing it at 10th place. He also mentioned the increase in borewells and criticized the treatment of protesting farmers. Both sides argued about alleged irregularities in sand mining, and Revanth criticized the failure to conduct TSPSC exams. The motion of thanks was passed before adjourning till Wednesday.
