Authorities Work to Bring Two Key Individuals Back to India

Efforts are in full swing to bring back two key suspects from the United States as part of an ongoing investigation. Former SIB Chief Prabhakar Rao and Shravan Rao are at the center of the case. Indian authorities are moving quickly to ensure their return so they can face legal proceedings.

To facilitate this, the police are prepared to initiate the extradition process. They plan to use a “Red Corner Notice,” which is an international request to locate and arrest individuals pending extradition. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Ministry of External Affairs are working together to coordinate this effort with U.S. authorities.

Prabhakar Rao, who has already secured a Green Card in the United States, and Shravan Rao, who has overstayed his visa, are both under scrutiny. Despite his visa having expired, Shravan Rao continues to remain in the U.S., which has added further complexity to the situation.

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has already submitted a detailed report to the central government. Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs is preparing to send an official report to U.S. authorities to expedite the extradition process. This case highlights the collaborative efforts between India and the United States to ensure that justice is served.
