Hyderabad: Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has instructed officials to enhance Telangana’s tourism sector by offering top-notch amenities to attract both national and international tourists. The Minister conducted a comprehensive review of the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation, where officials presented projects, green hotel management, and other matters through power point presentations.
During the meeting, Rao emphasized the importance of completing tourism projects on schedule. He advised officials to set specific timeframes, monitor progress regularly, and maintain high-quality standards. Rao stressed that in order to increase the number of tourists in the state and attract world-class visitors, it is crucial to provide adequate facilities. He also highlighted the need for Haritha Hotels to match the standards set by the private sector and increase their occupancy ratio.
Furthermore, the Minister directed officials to devise and implement special activities to generate innovative ways of increasing revenue. It is their goal to provide quality services, compete with private hotels in terms of revenue generation, and reduce dependence on government funding.
