Private engineering college faculty in Hyderabad express dissatisfaction over delay in FFC announcement.

Private unaided engineering colleges in Hyderabad are facing issues with delayed salaries for faculty members. The Fact Finding Committee (FFC) inspections by JNTU-H, which were scheduled to start on March 1, have been postponed indefinitely without any given reason. This decision came after instructions from higher-ups in the State Education Department.

Faculty members from various private engineering colleges in and around Hyderabad have reported not receiving their salaries for 3-5 months. This has caused distress among the staff, as they are unsure when they will be paid. Some colleges have reportedly kept disbursing salaries pending for several months.

One senior faculty member, M Narendra, expressed concerns about not receiving salaries for the past four months. Another faculty member, S Nirmala, mentioned that salaries have been pending for the last three months at their college. The faculty members feel that the college management is taking advantage of the postponed FFC inspections to further delay salary payments.

JNTU-H had planned to conduct the inspections before the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) and the upcoming elections. However, due to the directive from higher-ups in the department, the inspections have been put on hold. The faculty members believe that this decision to postpone inspections has negatively impacted them and allowed colleges to delay salary payments.
