Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be going on a two-day tour of Rajasthan and Gujarat starting from Thursday, July 27. On July 27, Modi will attend a public program in Sikar, Rajasthan, where he will lay the foundation stone and dedicate various development projects to the nation. Rajasthan is set to have assembly elections in December this year.
During his visit to Sikar, Modi will dedicate 1.25 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) to the nation. These Kendras are being developed to provide a one-stop solution for all farmers’ needs. Additionally, the Prime Minister will launch Urea Gold, a new variety of urea coated with sulphur, which will address sulphur deficiencies in the soil. This innovative fertilizer is more economical and efficient than neem-coated urea.
Modi will also launch the onboarding of 1,500 farmer producer organizations (FPOs) on the open network for digital commerce (ONDC). This platform will empower FPOs with direct access to digital marketing, online payment, and business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions. It will also encourage local value addition and catalyze the growth of logistics in rural areas.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will release the 14th installment amount of about Rs 17,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, benefiting more than 8.5 crore beneficiaries through direct benefit transfer.
On the same day, Modi will inaugurate five new medical colleges in Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Sirohi, Sikar, and Sri Ganganagar. He will also lay the foundation stone for seven medical colleges in Baran, Bundi, Karauli, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, and Tonk.
On July 27, Modi will also visit Rajkot, Gujarat, where he will inaugurate the new international airport built at a cost of Rs 1,400 crore. He will also inaugurate development projects worth over Rs 860 crore in Rajkot.
On July 28, the Prime Minister will inaugurate SemiconIndia 2023 in Gandhinagar. The conference, with the theme “Catalyzing India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem,” aims to bring together global leaders from the industry, academia, and research institutions. It will showcase India’s semiconductor strategy and policy, with the aim of making India a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development. The conference will witness the participation of representatives from major companies such as Micron Technology, Applied Materials, Foxconn, SEMI, Cadence, and AMD, among others.
