Karimnagar: Educationist Prasanna Harikrishna, who is contesting as an MLC candidate for the Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Medak graduates’ constituency, filed his nomination on Friday. He was accompanied by a large crowd of followers, supporters, and graduates. The event was marked by celebrations, including Oggudola dances and performances by his fans, as he made his way from Karimnagar SRR College to the Collectorate.
After submitting his nomination, Harikrishna spoke at a press conference. He shared that he had resigned from his 19-year government service to enter politics. His goal is to address the issues faced by the unemployed, employees, and youth by becoming their voice. He urged graduates and intellectuals to speak up now, warning that if they remained silent today, they might have to stay silent forever.
Harikrishna also criticized those who treat education as a business and later enter politics. He stated that people who failed to reduce school fees for poor and middle-class students are now promising to help students and solve unemployment issues. He urged voters to recognize such individuals and hold them accountable.
