Warangal Urban Cooperative Bank chairman and BJP leader, Errabelli Pradeep Rao, showed concern for the residents affected by the floods in Warangal. The heavy rains caused severe damage to the city and left many people without shelter. Pradeep Rao mentioned that Union Tourism Minister and BJP State president G Kishan Reddy had visited the rain-ravaged areas and instructed officials to provide immediate assistance to those affected. With more rainfall expected, Pradeep Rao emphasized the need for swift action from the government to address the situation.
One concerning issue mentioned by Pradeep Rao was the breach in the Bhadrakali Lake, which added to the already alarming situation. He also highlighted the importance of focusing on public health to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. Pradeep Rao urged the government to compensate the flood-affected individuals and criticized the lack of preparedness by the GWMC (Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation) despite the city’s vulnerability to even modest rainfall.
Additionally, Pradeep Rao pointed out that the local BRS legislators were not actively addressing the problems faced by the people in the city. He held them responsible for the floods and accused them of being apathetic towards the residents’ difficulties. Pradeep Rao also called upon KCR, who had promised Rs 300 crore for the development of Warangal, to fulfill his commitment.
In an effort to support the flood victims, Pradeep Rao distributed rice and bedsheets. The event was attended by leaders G Nikhil and M Vamshee Ch Raju, among others.
