Operation Muskan is the government’s plan to stop child labor. District SP Rohit Raju IPS announced that the program will run from July 1 to 31 with a clear strategy. A poster for Operation Muskan-X was unveiled at the SP’s office with officers and staff. Each sub-division will have one SI and four staff members working to end child labor. The police department has formed a team for this purpose, and joint raids will be conducted with other departments. Five special teams will conduct raids across the district to find child laborers. If anyone sees child labor happening, they should call 1098, 100, or local police.

Under DSP Rahman’s direction, Kottagudem is the District Nodal Officer for Operation Muskan-X. Police officers, Child Welfare Committee officials, Labor Department, Education Department, Child Protection Department, Health Department, and others are part of the Operation Muskan-X teams. DSP Rehman advised officials to identify areas where child labor is common and keep watch there.

Children rescued through Operation Muskan should be checked on to see how they are doing. Children who have dropped out of school to work should be identified and re-enrolled in school. Children found begging in various places should be counseled and either returned to their parents or taken to care homes. Anyone forcing children to beg will face criminal charges.

During a meeting, DCRB CI Srinivas, IT Cell Inspector Nagaraju Reddy, Education Officer Annamani, and others discussed these issues.
