The phone-tapping case in Hyderabad may reveal more shocking details soon. The police are looking into the connection between the case and the poaching of BRS MLAs at a farmhouse in Moinabad during the BRS rule.
City West Zone DCP Vijaykumar announced that a former DCP and one of the accused in the phone-tapping case, Radhakishan Rao, has been taken back into police custody with court permission. The task force will question him until April 10. Rao is believed to have been involved in destroying hard disks at SIB and creating illegal profiles of celebrities.
After the election results favored the Congress, Rao reportedly destroyed hard disks to cover up sensitive information. He also assisted former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao in this act. The police suspect that the phone-tapping may have revealed the farmhouse incident involving the BRS MLAs.
Rao allegedly installed 74 devices before the operation at the farmhouse, indicating a premeditated plan to purchase the BRS MLAs. It is said that Rao used phone tapping to gather information for the farmhouse incident, with IT Inspector Jupalli Ramesh Rao monitoring CCTV cameras.
If Radha Kishan Rao is taken into custody, the city police will likely focus on investigating the farmhouse case first. Authorities believe that Rao set up various surveillance devices at the farmhouse, including CCTV cameras, spy cameras, voice recorders, mobile phones, and electronic devices.
