Karimnagar: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Discusses Development and Party Strengthening
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar held a meeting with key leaders and party workers at the Saidapur mandal centre in Husnabad constituency on Thursday. The meeting focused on addressing village problems and strengthening the Congress party.
During the meeting, the Minister urged Congress workers to focus on building the party’s presence in the villages. He emphasized the importance of ensuring Congress members win local body elections and are elected as sarpanches. He encouraged those contesting elections to work diligently at the grassroots level.
Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted that providing education, medical facilities, and irrigation in the constituency is the government’s top priority. He assured steps would be taken to supply irrigation water to Chiguru Mamidi and Saidapur mandals through the flood flow canal.
The Minister also spoke about the government’s achievements. He mentioned that the Rs 2 lakh loan waiver for farmers had been fulfilled, along with the creation of 55,000 jobs. He noted other welfare initiatives, including free bus travel for women, 200 units of free electricity, 500 units of gas, and the upcoming launch of the Rythu Bharosa scheme during Sankranthi.
He further announced that diet charges for school students had been increased, and government employees are now receiving their salaries at the start of each month. Infrastructure developments like roads and open gyms are already underway in villages. Additionally, a water plant will be set up in every village to address water needs.
