Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar and former legislator Aligi Reddy Praveen Reddy participated in a padayatra organized by AICC and PCC in Husnabad constituency. This padayatra was organized to celebrate the completion of one year of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which aimed to unite the country from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
During the gathering, Prabhakar addressed the audience and expressed his concerns about the BJP government at the Centre. He mentioned how they are undermining democratic institutions and creating divisions among the people. In response to this, Rahul Gandhi took out a march called ‘Nafrat Chodo Bharat Jodo’ to save the country and unite its people.
Prabhakar also criticized the BJP for trying to discredit Rahul Gandhi. He emphasized that Rahul Gandhi’s father and grandmother sacrificed their lives for the country, but the BJP distorted their history. Prabhakar further stated that two Gujaratis named Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are exploiting the country for two other Gujaratis named Adani and Ambani. He mentioned the sale of national assets like Railways, Airports, and LIC to corporate entities, and how Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra aims to stop this.
Prabhakar highlighted that despite the obstacles created by the BJP government due to the pandemic, the Bharat Jodo Yatra continued without interruption. He believed that the Congress revival that started in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka will be repeated in Telangana. The BJP was shaken by this yatra, he added.
Prabhakar also mentioned Narendra Modi’s attempt to change the name of India to Bharat through the ‘Making India’ program. He emphasized that Rahul Gandhi believes there should be no hatred regardless of the country’s name. Prabhakar criticized both Narendra Modi at the Centre and KCR in the State for ruling with a dictatorial attitude, disregarding the people’s concerns. He urged the people to join the Congress Party with the spirit of Bharat Jodo Yatra.
