Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar and Congress workers held a protest in Karimnagar on Friday, expressing their concern over the postponement of the case against Rahul Gandhi. Prabhakar stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was trying to punish Rahul Gandhi from contesting future elections by targeting him with falsified words spoken during the election campaign in 2019. The Congress workers staged a dharna at Mahatma Gandhi statue to protest against the BJP government’s conspiracy against Rahul Gandhi. Prabhakar further commented that democracy was in danger under the leadership of Narendra Modi, and that the country could only move forward if democracy survives. He accused Modi and Amit Shah of giving the country to big businessmen like Adani and Ambani, and stated that people are noticing a political conspiracy behind the filing of a case by a lawyer named Modi who is becoming corrupt in the country. Prabhakar called on the people of the district and the city to end the dictatorial trend and undemocratic policy of Narendra Modi. Congress workers across the country were protesting against the BJP government’s actions.
