The election in Telangana’s 119 Assembly constituencies has ended. The election was mostly peaceful, except for a few incidents of police using lathi charge in some areas. Voting was completed at 4 pm in 13 Maoist-influenced sensitive constituencies. People already in queue lines were allowed to vote until 5 pm, but the doors were closed sharp at 5 pm, not letting anyone else in. Party leaders made last-minute efforts to influence voters. The voter turnout is expected to be around 65%.
