Political parties cautious of defections

The political situation in Hyderabad is causing tension among the BJP, BRS, and Congress parties. The BJP’s decision to change their state chief has resulted in more division within the party, with some top leaders considering leaving. The BRS party is also facing pressure from leaders who are thinking about joining the Congress party.

Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy took over 24 hours to accept his new position as state chief. He was unavailable and refused to comment on the matter until he finally called a press conference in the evening. He announced that he would take charge after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Warangal on July 8.

However, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the former president, did not join Kishan Reddy as planned. He stayed in Delhi to meet with the Railway Minister. It seems that Sanjay Kumar is unsure about his role in the party and whether or not he will be included in the cabinet.

In Hyderabad, two leaders, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and Enugu Ravindra Reddy, met with Jupally Krishna Rao, who is soon joining the Congress party. This has caused concern for the BJP, leading them to appoint Rajagopal Reddy as a National Executive member.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that some BRS leaders, like former State Warehousing Corporation Chairman Samuel, are considering leaving the party because they are not being given a ticket to run for the Tungaturthi assembly constituency. The current MLA, G Kishore, has been elected twice from this constituency. Although Samuel is in contact with Congress leaders, he has not yet made a decision.

TPCC president Revanth Reddy is focused on trying to recruit leaders from both BRS and BJP for the Congress party. However, one issue they are facing is that these potential recruits are demanding party tickets to contest elections. While the Congress is currently in a good position, they need to figure out how to handle this demand for tickets.
