Hyderabad Police Bust Brothel House in Tarnaka
The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, in collaboration with the Osmania University Police and women officers, apprehended three individuals involved in running a brothel house in Nagarjuna Nagar, Tarnaka. The arrested include two Uganda nationals and a local customer.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on Saturday night. They arrested Nayebare Doreen (42), identified as the organiser, Komuhangi Ritah (22), who acted as a sub-organiser and is also a victim, and Potturi Anjan Kumar (45), a local customer. A case has been registered under Sections 143, 144(2), 111 BNS, and Sections 3 and 4 of the PITA Act.
According to the police, Nayebare Doreen had rented a house in Nagarjuna Nagar, Tarnaka, four months ago. Since then, she had been operating the brothel with the help of her associate, Komuhangi Ritah. Doreen reportedly advertised her phone number on the online platform ‘Locanto’ to attract customers.
To avoid suspicion, they would initially provide a location in Secunderabad to mislead interested customers. Later, they would direct them to Nagarjuna Colony before finally disclosing the actual location of the brothel. The police are continuing their investigation into the case.
