Police apprehend three robbers, recover Rs 24 lakh worth of ornaments

The Hyderabad Commissioner Task Force, south-east zone team, and Chaderghat police caught three property offenders who robbed a jewellery shop in Malakpet. They found property worth Rs 24 lakh with them.

The accused were Nazim Aziz Kotadia (36) from Kompally, Shoukat Raini (19) and Waris (18) from Jeedimetla. Police seized gold ornaments weighing 330.84 gm, silver ornaments weighing 124.19 gm, three two-wheelers, and two mobile phones from them.

On February 14, the accused attacked Shajee-ur-Rahman at Kiswah Jewellers in Akbarbagh with a knife, stole gold and silver ornaments, and fled. CCTV footage showed the accused entering and leaving the shop, riding to Taj Hotel in Abids, parking their bikes, then committing the theft.

After the robbery, they hid the stolen items at Nazim’s house. Later that day, they took a Rapido car to Abids and Malakpet, collected their bikes, and returned home.
