PM Modi Wears Recycled Material Jacket in Japan as an Example of Sustainability.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a special jacket made of recycled material during his visit to the Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima, Japan. The beige “sadri” jacket was made from recycled materials and was worn during his visit to the museum and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. PM Modi paid tribute to those who died in the US atomic bomb attack on the city in 1945 during World War II. He was joined by other world leaders, including Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida.

PM Modi also met with several global leaders, including US President Joe Biden, UK counterpart Rishi Sunak, and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his three-day visit to Japan to attend the G7 Summit. He endorsed eco-friendly products by wearing a sleeveless sky-blue jacket made from recycled plastic bottles during a visit to Parliament earlier this year.

The Ministry of External Affairs shared photos of PM Modi’s visit to the museum on Twitter and described it as “a tribute to the memory of Hiroshima victims.” The leaders also paid their respects at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
