Prime Minister Highlights Development Potential of Cherlapalli Railway Terminal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed optimism about the new Cherlapalli Railway Terminal, stating that it could play a key role in boosting regional development. Speaking virtually on Monday, he emphasized the terminal’s strategic connectivity to the Outer Ring Road (RRR) and its potential to act as a catalyst for growth in the region.
The Cherlapalli station is equipped with modern facilities, including advanced platforms, lifts, escalators, and solar-powered systems. Modi highlighted that these sustainable infrastructure features mark a significant step forward in creating eco-friendly railway systems.
The Prime Minister also noted that the new terminal would ease congestion at the Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Kacheguda railway stations. This development is expected to make travel more convenient for passengers while contributing to an improved quality of life and better business opportunities.
Modi underscored the broader context of India’s infrastructure expansion, citing examples like expressways, waterways, and metro networks. He pointed out that the number of airports in the country has grown from 74 in 2014 to 150 today, while metro networks have expanded from 5 cities to 21.
According to the Prime Minister, these projects are part of a long-term plan to transform India into a developed nation. He congratulated the public on these achievements, stating, “Together, we will accelerate growth further, and these new projects are milestones in our government’s efforts to build a developed nation.”
Earlier, several leaders, including Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and V Somanna, as well as Telangana IT Minister Sridhar Babu and Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender, spoke about the government’s commitment to improving railway infrastructure in Telangana and across the country.
