Farmers Honored on PM-KISAN Anniversary in Aija
Aija: A special event was held in Aija town to celebrate six years of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. The Farmer Felicitation Program took place at S. Krishna Vardhan Reddy Fertilizer Shop, with Aija Town President Kompati Bhagat Reddy and Pradeep Swamy attending. Several farmers and company representatives also participated.
PM-KISAN: Helping Farmers with Financial Support
Speaking at the event, Town President Kompati Bhagat Reddy explained the importance of the PM-KISAN scheme. Launched by the Indian government, this program provides financial assistance to farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, credited directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each.
The Central Government released the 19th installment of PM-KISAN financial aid today, benefiting millions of farmers across the country. Additionally, the government has set up 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to support agricultural producers.
Fertilizer Subsidies for Farmers
During the event, officials shared details about fertilizer prices and subsidies provided by the Narendra Modi-led government. These subsidies help make fertilizers more affordable for farmers.
