Pilgrim Attacked by Snake During Journey to Tirumala

TIRUMALA: A pilgrim walking to Tirumala was bitten by a snake.

A group of devotees from Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh were traveling to Tirumala via the Alipiri footpath. When they reached the 7th mile, a young man named Nagendranath stopped at a tea stall to wait for his friends. While waiting, a snake came out from the nearby forest and bit him.

This caused panic among the other devotees. They quickly informed the TTD and forest department officials. The officials arrived at the spot and took Nagendranath to Aswini Hospital in Tirumala.

Doctors at the hospital confirmed that the snake was non-venomous. They said Nagendranath is out of danger and is currently stable. He is undergoing treatment.
