The District Collector of Gadwal, Valluri Kranti, announced a list of 39 double bedroom houses for physically challenged people. The houses were allocated through a lottery system. The Collector and Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy participated in the lottery process.
The Collector explained that 771 double bedroom houses have been built for homeless people who are below the poverty level. They received 65 applications from physically challenged individuals, and 39 of them were chosen through the lottery process according to government guidelines. If anyone has any objections, they have a week to resolve them. The selected beneficiaries are also required to submit their original caste, income, and Aadhar certificates at the ward meetings on Monday.
MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy added that every eligible poor person can receive a double bedroom house without any political interference. If someone already has their own place, they can apply for the Gruhalakshmi Scheme and receive Rs 3 lakh.
