The event is being held from October 24th to 26th at the HITEX Exhibition Center in Hyderabad. The Pharma India Expo 2024 focuses on addressing current challenges, fostering innovation, and exploring new opportunities in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The expo is hosting over 250 participants, expecting more than 15,000 attendees, and featuring representatives from 700 organizations. Additionally, there are over 100 prominent speakers from around the world. This gathering provides a platform for industry experts to showcase their work to a focused and influential audience while discussing the latest trends and advancements in the field.

Dr. Sarikonda highlighted that Merit Maxx Healthcare 24/7 Private Limited is revolutionizing healthcare by using top-rated technologies. He mentioned that they are utilizing micro-bots and AI technology to treat cancer and brain hemorrhages more effectively, achieving an 80-90% cure rate. A European company is planning to open a manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, which will help make these treatments affordable for patients.

Merit Maxx Healthcare 24/7 is also promoting medical tourism and medical tourism certification. This certification will help bring international standards to India’s healthcare industry, raising its value and reputation globally.

India is often called the “Pharmacy of the World.” Even during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic, India supplied vaccines and essential medicines to many countries. India contributes 60% of the global vaccine production, including supplying affordable medicines to regions like Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, India’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors were vital in supporting the global fight against the virus. Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical companies like Cipla, Sun Pharma, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories boosted the production of COVID-19 treatment drugs. Through the “Vaccine Maitri” initiative, India sent vaccines to 95 countries and also supplied medical equipment, PPE kits, and ventilators to help save lives around the world.

Dr. Sarikonda expressed confidence that the Pharma India Expo will drive further growth for India’s pharmaceutical sector, with Hyderabad playing an even bigger role in the future. He emphasized that the innovations showcased at the event will bring hope and make a positive impact on many lives.
