Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) is gearing up to hold a protest march on Tuesday in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks against Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The march will start at Ambedkar’s statue at Tank Bund and proceed to the Hyderabad Collectorate at Lakdikapul.
The protest will be led by PCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. Several Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), chairpersons of various corporations, and other party leaders are expected to join the procession.
This event is part of a larger, nationwide initiative called the ‘Babasaheb Ambedkar Samman’ marches. The Congress is organizing these protests to express outrage over Amit Shah’s alleged “insult” to Ambedkar and to demand the Union Minister’s resignation.
The march also marks the start of the week-long ‘Ambedkar Samman Saptah,’ a series of events being held by the Congress across the country to honor Dr. Ambedkar and amplify their demand for accountability.
