Congress Alleges Secret Agreement Between BJP and BRS in MLC Elections

Karimnagar: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) have made a secret agreement for the upcoming Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections.

On Monday, Congress party’s Graduates MLC candidate, V. Narender Reddy, filed his nomination at the Karimnagar district headquarters. To show their support, party members organized a massive rally with traditional Kolatam dance by women, along with drumming and performances by Oggudola artists.

Speaking at the event, Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that after careful consideration, the Congress party selected Alphores Narender Reddy as their candidate because of his capability. He urged graduates to support Reddy and ensure his victory by a large margin. Goud also highlighted that while former Chief Minister KCR provided only 5,000 jobs per year, the current Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, is offering 5,000 jobs per month.

Karimnagar District In-charge Minister, Uttam Kumar Reddy, emphasized that the Congress party has always supported graduates. He promised to complete pending development projects in four districts. He also mentioned that Congress had previously created 55,000 jobs, including 11,000 teaching positions, and assured that the party has a clear plan to fill two lakh more vacancies in various departments. He urged voters to elect Narender Reddy, stating that Congress is the only party that truly understands and fulfills the aspirations of graduates.

IT and Legislative Affairs Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also spoke at the event. He stated that Narender Reddy, who comes from an educational background, is the right candidate to address graduates’ concerns. He called upon all Congress workers to support Reddy. Prabhakar also dismissed BJP’s allegations that Congress is encouraging urban Naxalites and reminded everyone that Congress is a democratic party. He urged voters to reject the BJP, calling it a communal party.

MLC candidate Narender Reddy expressed his gratitude and said that if he wins, he will dedicate his victory to the Congress party. He mentioned that Congress leader Jeevan Reddy is his role model and that he will work with inspiration from him. He promised to support mining in Singareni and work towards establishing a tribal university in Adilabad.

Additionally, Narender Reddy assured that he would address the issue of pending fee reimbursements for private educational institutions. He criticized the BJP, calling it a communal party, and accused its candidate of lacking awareness about important issues. He described the election as a battle between intelligence and ignorance.

The event saw a large gathering of Congress leaders, including Ministers Seethakka and Konda Surekha, along with MLAs, MLCs, and party activists from four districts, all showing their strong support for Narender Reddy.
