Australia has announced a 17-man squad for the World Test Championship Final against India, with Pat Cummins as the captain. Mitchell Marsh has been named in the squad for the first time in four years, after his recent performances in the white-ball formats and in his sole first-class outing of the season. The squad includes four specialist quicks, two allrounders, and two spinners. The team will assemble in England in late May, and the squad will be trimmed to 15 players on May 28 as per ICC requirements. The first two Tests of the Ashes campaign will follow in June.
The national selection panel has also included Marcus Harris as the auxiliary opener behind David Warner and Usman Khawaja. The squad will be revised for the last three Ashes Tests at Headingley, Old Trafford, and The Oval.
