M Parmeshwar Reddy, the Congress candidate for the Uppal constituency in Hyderabad, aims to win with the support of six party guarantees. He began his political career as a corporator from 2009-2014 in Ramanthapur, and his wife Rajitha Reddy is currently serving as the Uppal corporator. During his time as a corporator, he worked on various development projects including roads, drainage systems, water pipelines, and community halls.
Parmeshwar is currently the block A president of Uppal, INC. In an interview with The Hans India, he mentioned that even though his party is not in power, they were able to obtain funds and carry out development activities by organizing protests.
He has been conducting a padayatra (walking tour) to understand the problems at the ground level. Apart from the lack of basic amenities, one of the main issues is the ruling party’s failure to deliver on their promises of building double-bedroom houses, government hospitals, and educational institutions. They had committed to establishing a junior college and a degree college, but have not fulfilled these promises.
The existing degree college in the constituency does not have a proper building and is functioning in a government premises. Numerous water bodies have also been encroached upon, and significant development projects have been neglected. Parmeshwar expressed confidence that the people would support him in bringing about positive changes.
