Former Shadnagar MLA Choulapalli Pratap Reddy has chastised Palamuru (Joint Mahabubnagar) Member of Parliament (MP) Manne Srinivas Reddy for his lack of representation and advocacy for the Palamuru region in Parliament, comparing his appointment to that of a ceremonial figure.

Speaking at the Palamuru Nyaya Yatra in Shadnagar constituency, Pratap Reddy expressed unhappiness with the MP’s lack of evident efforts to address the concerns of the Palamuru electorate. He questioned the usefulness of Srinivas Reddy’s portrayal, citing comparisons with the mythical figure Dudu Basavanna, who was noted for his ceremonial significance rather than real activity.

Pratap Reddy, along by Congress Working Committee (CWC) members Challa Vamsichand Reddy and local MLA Veerlapalli Shankar, highlighted the region’s pressing challenges, such as financial debts and unfulfilled promises made by the ruling administration. He chastised the TRS-turned-BRS party for failing to deliver on its electoral promises, predicting that the Congress party would soon take power at both the state and national levels.

Pratap Reddy underscored the need for dynamic and proactive leadership to champion the interests of Palamuru, advocating for the selection of youth leader Challa Vamsichand Reddy as a more effective voice in Parliament. He emphasized the importance of cooperative governance between Vamsichand Reddy and MLA Shankar to ensure the smooth functioning of governance and the fulfillment of electoral promises.

MLA Shankar echoed Pratap Reddy’s sentiments, urging the public to support the Congress party and put an end to the perceived ineffectiveness of the current representation. He reassured constituents of the government’s commitment to fulfilling electoral guarantees, citing ongoing initiatives such as women’s travel benefits and healthcare provisions.

Balraj Goud, Babar Ali Khan, Youth Congress leader Jafar Ali, Congress leaders Narasimha Reddy, Jitender Reddy, Krishna Reddy, Tirupathi Reddy, Raghu Naik, Purushottam Reddy, Chilakamarri Srinivas, Cherukupalli Yadaiah, Rai Kanti Krishna Reddy, Vijay Kumar Reddy, and others took part in the yatra.
