On Sunday, members of the Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (JAC) gathered at the Law College on the OU campus in Hyderabad to protest against the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) chairman Dr B Janardhan Reddy and secretary Anita Rajendra for their alleged role in ‘playing’ with the lives of 30 lakh unemployed individuals in the state. The protesters also expressed their dissatisfaction with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s ‘adamant’ attitude towards protecting the TSPSC officials.
During the protest, NTSU State president ByruNagaraju Goud addressed the crowd and demanded a complete overhaul of the TSPSC. He warned that the students’ agitation would continue until the government provides assurance to all unemployed individuals. Goud also expressed his disappointment with the CM’s lack of action towards the question paper leak scam and failure to provide employment opportunities to jobless youth.
The protest saw the burning of an effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and it was attended by various JAC leaders including Bonala Nagesh, Bandi Naresh, Kampati Venkat, Bheemsen, Shankar, Naveen, Vamsi, Sandeep, Shekhar, Anjaneyulu, Mahesh, Ramu, and Mallesh.
The protest highlighted the growing concern over unemployment in Telangana and the need for the government to take action towards creating more job opportunities for its citizens. The students’ agitation serves as a reminder to those in power that they must prioritize the needs of their people and work towards providing them with a better future.
