    Osmania University Organizes Book Exhibition to Celebrate National Library Week

    A book exhibition is being held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Library in Osmania University, Hyderabad, to celebrate National Library Week.

    Dr. Achala Munigal, the university librarian, explained that the Indian Library Association (ILA) observes National Library Week from November 14 to 20 each year. This week is dedicated to honoring Padmashri Iyyanki Venkata Ramanayya, also known as the “Granthalaya Pitamaha” (father of libraries). He played a key role in setting up thousands of public libraries across South India and is considered the architect of the Public Library Movement in India.

    Several students, including Srikanth, a student of MA Economics, and Anjaneyulu, a student of MA Political Science, shared their thoughts on the importance of using the library. They emphasized how the library helps students pursue their goals with determination and enthusiasm.
