Osmania University Alumni Felicitate Vice-Chancellor
The Osmania University Alumni Association held a special event on Tuesday to honor Vice-Chancellor Professor Kumar Molugaram. The event took place at the university’s administrative building.
Alumni who had represented the OU Students Union in elections from 1977 to 1988 attended the gathering. Along with the Vice-Chancellor, they also met Registrar Professor G. Naresh Reddy and OSD Professor Jitender Nayak. During the meeting, the alumni proposed to extend their support for the university’s growth and to uphold its reputation as a world-class institution.
The association leaders highlighted several key areas for improvement. These included enhancing academic excellence, faculty development, better infrastructure, and increased support for students. They also stressed the importance of alumni and industry partnerships, good governance, moral values, promotion, and financial collaboration to boost the university’s standing.
One of their primary appeals was to resume student union elections within Osmania University. They believe this step would strengthen the institution’s democratic values and student representation.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Molugaram expressed his gratitude to the alumni for honoring him. He encouraged them to actively contribute to the university’s overall development. He also shared that the government is showing a positive response in supporting the university, especially in areas like faculty appointments. The Vice-Chancellor urged the alumni to assist in improving infrastructure in their respective departments.
The event marked a renewed commitment from the alumni to work collaboratively with university leadership for the betterment of Osmania University.
