Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, is visiting Mumbai on Thursday to meet with top leaders in Maharashtra. His goal is to bring together all the non-BJP forces and create a national front. He will have lunch with Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray and later have tea with Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar. He will be accompanied by Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Deveshchandra Thakur and Cooperation Minister Sanjaykumar Jha. Last week, Thakur met with Pawar and Thackeray in preparation for Nitish Kumar’s visit.
Nitish Kumar has already met with other important leaders, such as Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Navin Patnaik, and Akhilesh Yadav. He has a good reputation for being a clean administrator who has made positive changes in Bihar. The JD(U)’s Maharashtra unit has organized a warm welcome for Nitish Kumar, with thousands of workers expected to gather in Bandra and other places.
