Today’s petrol and diesel prices have remained stable across major cities in India. In Delhi, petrol costs Rs. 96.72 per litre, while diesel costs Rs. 89.62 per litre. Hyderabad’s petrol price is Rs. 109.66 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 97.82 per litre. In Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs. 102.65 per litre and diesel at Rs. 94.24 per litre. Mumbai’s petrol price per litre is Rs. 106.31, and diesel is priced at Rs. 97,28 per litre. Meanwhile, in Bangalore, petrol is priced at Rs. 101.94 per litre, and diesel costs Rs. 87.89 per litre.
India is heavily reliant on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, so changes in crude prices influence fuel rates. However, other factors like rising demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar depreciation, and refinery concept ratio also affect domestic fuel prices.
