Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy attended a meeting in Gadwal on Wednesday to prepare for the upcoming 21-day State incarnation decade celebrations from June 2 to 22. Reddy urged officials to work hard and make the celebrations a success. The government aims to inspire future generations by highlighting the progress made in the past nine years under Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s leadership. Reddy called on public servants, public representatives, and people to take part in the events at the village and district levels.
The minister asked officials to focus on agriculture, as it is an area that many people connect with, and to make the agriculture day programme on June 3 a grand success. Reddy suggested that farmers mobilisation should take place on the first day. Celebrations should be organised at farmer venues in every village and near ponds managed by them. The spirit of Telangana should be explained to students on Education Day, and elocution competitions and prizes for winners arranged. On the last day, Martyrs’ day tributes will be paid.
The minister also directed officials in Wanaprthy to organise ‘Rythu Dinotsavam’ celebrations on June 3, with arrangements made for 5,000 farmers. Reddy stressed the importance of providing shade, drinking water, meals, and other amenities for the farmers. He held a meeting on Tuesday with officials on arrangements for the celebrations and asked them to submit details of necessary infrastructure such as tents, shamianas, chairs, flexis, water, and food facilities. Reddy emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between officials and public representatives to make the celebrations successful.
