To promote transparency in village administration, Rangareddy District Collector C. Narayan Reddy has directed panchayat secretaries to maintain a daily performance register. These records will track staff activities, especially tasks like cleaning roads and maintaining the surroundings. The collector stressed that secretaries must not be absent on workdays and should inform the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) in case of emergencies.

The collector also emphasized the importance of addressing basic necessities in villages. He instructed officials to record daily drinking water supply details to prevent shortages. Additionally, issues related to power supply, such as repairing streetlights and poles, must be documented and resolved promptly.

To enhance the appearance of villages, the collector advised officials to focus on plantation drives around nurseries, graveyards, and compost yards. He also directed the preparation of village nurseries to produce sufficient saplings for the next three years.

In a review of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), the collector urged authorities to ensure employment cards are issued to all eligible individuals above 18 years of age. He set a deadline of February 1 to identify and enroll eligible workers who have not yet registered under the scheme.

The district administration is working proactively to ensure efficient governance and improved living conditions for villagers as the elections approach.
