Officials meet with CS to discuss arrangements for Wings India 2024 event

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari recently held a coordination meeting to discuss the preparations for the Wings India 2024 event. The event, which will take place at Begumpet airport from January 18 to 21, is expected to be larger in scale this year with the display of new generation aircraft and the participation of high-level dignitaries from various countries and states.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need for critical planning in key areas such as parking arrangements and traffic management. It is estimated that over one lakh people will attend the event, so alternative parking sites need to be identified. The GHMC was also instructed to increase garbage collection and ensure proper sanitation measures during the event. The public was advised not to throw garbage on the roads and not to fly kites around the airport area two days prior to the event to avoid any hindrance to international aircraft.
