Warangal: Dr V Chandrasekhar, the superintendent of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH), has addressed the concerns about the increase in cases of the new variant JN 1 of Covid-19. He stated that they have not found any evidence of this variant so far.

In a press release on Thursday, Dr Chandrasekhar mentioned that they recently admitted a patient with severe acute respiratory infection (SARI). The patient is a 62-year-old woman from Gandhi Nagar village in Ghanpur mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. She is currently considered a suspect, and her status will be determined after the result of the RTPCR test. Prior to being admitted to MGMH, she received treatment at a private hospital for two days.
