A cyclonic circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). It is expected to turn into a low pressure area in the next 24 hours, which will cause heavier rain in Odisha. The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in 10 districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours. These districts include Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Balangir. The MeT office also forecasts heavy rainfall in Odisha until July 28 due to the possible low pressure area. The intensity of rainfall is expected to increase starting from Tuesday.
